SPortS TEAMS - A CHANCE TO SHINE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Throughout the year, Barnfields takes part in a variety of different competitive and non-competitive sporting events and tournaments with other local schools as part of our strong, established links with:

  • School Games - leading to County Final Qualification opportunities
  • SDPSSA - Stafford and District Primary Sports Association 

 

This year, we have had the opportunity to take part and compete in: 

  • Year 6 Cross Country Meet (girls and boys events) - Autumn
  • Year 5 Cross Country Meet (girls and boys events) - Autumn
  • Year 5 and 6 Football Tournament (girls and mixed events) - Autumn
  • Year 3 and 4 Tag Rugby Taster Sessions - Autumn
  • Year 5/6 Cross Country Tournament (girls and boys events) - Spring
  • Year 6 Girls Football Tournament - Spring
  • Year 6 Mixed Football Tournament - Spring
  • Year 5 Mixed Football Tournament - Spring

We also have various INTRA DAYS in which we give all the children the opportunity to have fun, be active, and compete in their house teams in various different events.

This Year we have already taken part in our own:

  • Cross Country Competition
  • Santa Dash Event
  • Our Commonwealth Themed Sports Day is due to take place this summer term.

 

  • Also, with thanks to Mr Lakin and his assistant, all the children at school had the opportunity to try out Karate as part of a special taster day
  • Wildcats GIRLS FC (Berkswich) are due to come and deliver some taster sessions for our KS1 and lower KS2 children
